In our wanderings we look for evidence of personal vision, random creations and any other inspired creative happenings. We also seek out contemporary symbols, markings and writings in the landscape that are intriguing, mysterious and beautiful. We feel these empty outdoor boards have a message all their own.

Enigmatic or incomprehensible symbols or writing often appear in the Southern landscape. The Egyptians expressed it as “god’s words”. Perhaps these are our contemporary version of hieroglyphics?
